|We planted two honeysuckle plants last year, and two weeks ago they started to bloom. Now we noticed that the heads are turning dark and there are hundreds of tiny black critters on the leaves. The leaves and blooms are starting to shrivel up. HELP!!!

|The new growth on honeysuckles is a magnet for aphids. These tiny insects congregate on the newest growth and feed on the fluids within the leaves. Insecticidal soap will control them, or you can knock them off with a strong stream of water from the hose. Repeat applications of either control measure will be necessary. Best wishes with your honeysuckles!
