I have a rock formation in my yard with crevices between the rocks that hold small amounts of soil. The area does not receive much water. I would like to soften the rocks by adding plants (any type). Will anything grow under these conditions?

There are few plants that will grow in just small amounts of soil, but here are some choices:Euphorbia myrsinites, Echeveria, Armeria, Sedum, Ice Plant. You might want to consider planting in containers and then hiding the containers between rocks or camoflage them with stones. That would increase the number of prospective plants for your rock garden.
