I have a beautiful young pepper tree. It grew out tall in just a few years. But then I noteced its bark started pilling off. Now it has bark on the branches only. The whole trunk is shedding all year around and the tree is loosing its leaves badly. What can I do to save my tree? Thank you, Mila |
The bark on pepper trees naturally sheds as the tree matures. It is normal and natural and nothing to worry about. They also retain their old leaves for a long time before shedding them. I think what you are seeing is normal for a pepper tree. As long as you keep it watered (once each week) and the tree is putting out new growth, there should be nothing to worry about. Your tree should be just fine. |
