Spring is the traditional time to plant perennials but with a little extra care you can plant them in the summertime, as well. The best way to choose perennials is to match them to the growing site. For instance, sun loving perennials should be in full sunshine. There are many, many sun lovers and because they have the same growing requirements, they will be happy sharing the same planting bed. Likewise with shade lovers. Just choose the perennials that appeal to you and plant them in the sun exposure they require. Give each enough room to grow without crowding, water regularly and enjoy! Good luck with your new perennials!
