|Will my tulips come back next year? My husband accidentally mowed over my tulips after they bloomed. He says he thought once they bloomed you were supposed to cut them off. They did not turn brown yet and were still standing tall when he chopped them off.

|Bulbs need the energy produced by the foliage to develop next year's flower, but it's possible your tulips will bloom again next year inspite of the early haircut. If they do bloom, the flowers will probably be small. But even if they don't bloom, they'll send out leaves next spring and those leaves will help produce the following year's bloom. Hope you don't hold this indiscretion over his head all year!
