Overwatering, over fertilizing, low humdity and even chlorine or fluoride in the water can cause the leaf margins of your plant to become brown. Water throughly and then allow the top of the soil to dry out before watering again. If you suspect your tap water has chemicals, use bottled or distilled water fro your houseplants. When you feed, use a water soluable fertilizer at half strength to avoid salt build up. And, to increase humidity, try misting your plant on a daily basis. Best wishes with your plant!
