Symphytum officinale, comfrey, is a member of the Borage family, and once considered a medicinal herb when the leaves were made into a tea. Studies have revealed that prolonged use of comfrey can cause liver damage. As a result, the seeds of this plant are extremely difficult to find. Try contacting Abundant Life Seed Foundation, P. O. Box 772, Port Townsend, WA 98368 for a source of comfrey seed.
