Overgrown Watermelon plants - Knowledgebase Question

Our watermelon plants are taking over the garden. Can we trim back the vines that are growing too long and into other plants?

As the vine grows it will develop new flowers, and potenially new fruits. If you don't mind losing additional fruit, you can prune the overly long vines. It won't harm the plant but it will reduce the number of watermelons your plant will develop.
