I emailed you about my red , green and yellow peppers turning purple . You answered about the leaves , I meant the peppers themselves ...

Peppers can turn purple when they are completely ripe. Usually they start out green and then change to yellow or red and then to purple. Harvest one and cut it open. I'm sure, regardless of the size, that the pepper is completely ripe. You can harvest peppers when they are any color. They will have a different flavor, but they will still taste like bell peppers. Green has the most pronounced bell pepper flavor; red, yellow and purple will have a milder, sweeter flavor. Hope this clarifies things for you!
