I purchased a plant at a $1 store that is a small ivy with leaves that look like grape vine ivy. As it has grown up my blinds, I notice all the leaves are in sets of three. Is it poison ivy or are there look alikes that are safe?

Many, many plants have leaves of three so your plant is not necessarily poison ivy. Cissus rhombifolia is known as grape ivy since the foliage resembles grape leaves and it climbs with the aid of tendrils. I think you'll also notice that the leaves are slightly scalloped. If you put the two plants side by side, you'd be able to tell the difference. I'm sure your houseplant is safe.
