Lots of insects can munch on leaves. Without knowing which insect is doing the damage, I can't really suggest a control. (Not all insecticides are safe to use on all plants and not all insecticides will control all insects so not knowing what's doing the damage puts us at a disadvantage.) Try inspecting your plants several times a day so you can find out what is doing the damage. Collect a few of the pests and take them to a well staffed nursery for identification. Helpful folks there can also suggestion insect specific controls. Good luck with your plants.
