|The most effective solution is a barrier. Second would be trapping. Your course of action depends upon the critters visiting your garden. Rats, mice and voles can be trapped; squirrels and bunnies can be kept out through fencing or bird netting. I use chicken wire fencing, buried 6 inches into the ground and at least 24" high to keep bunnies at bay. Try to keep the garden clean of debris so rodents won't have a ready food supply or places to hide. (Rodents rarely feed on growing plants but can be attracted to rotting fruits or vegetables.) Hope this information is helpful!
