|Several days ago I planted two new goldflame spirea bushes. They looked fine for a couple days, but now are drooping. I'm wondering whether this is likely too much or too little water. I've given them a light watering each day since planting.

|Your new spireas are showing classic symptoms of transplant stress. Once the roots become re-established the plants will perk up. It can take a week or two before this happens. In the meantime you can help your plants adjust by watering deeply once or twice a week (daily watering is not a good approach). You want the roots to be completely saturated and then allow the soil an opportunity to dry out some between waterings. Adjust your watering and you should see an improvement in a week or so. Enjoy your new plants.
