|Can I start to plant Lavender Lady and Lunaria annua now, or is it to hot for my part of the country?|
|Lavender Lady (Lavandula angustifolia) is a perennial herb. I have had moderate success growing it in the south provided I gave it excellent drainage. You can plant it now or wait and start seeds indoors in late winter. If you plant now, give the new plants some shade from the afternoon sun.|
Lunaria annua is actually a biennial. Experiment with the best times to grow it in your area. I suspect October planting may do best, although you may get results with a spring planting.
Good luck with your garden!
