I bought an apple tree about a month ago from Home Depot. A couple of weeks later it began dropping leaves. It has stopped but the leaves that are left have brown spots. Can you tell me what is going on with this tree?

It sounds as though your new apple tree is having trouble adjusting to its new spot in the landscape. While you are not seeing any new top growth, the roots are busy trying to establish themselves in the soil. I'd give the tree a little more time to recover from the stress of being transplanted. While you are waiting for new growth, be sure to water it deeply once a week. When you do see new growth, you can pull off the affected leaves and remove them from the garden. Good luck with your new tree.
