New Philadelphia, Oh
|My lily plant was 22 inches high with several buds when I found it laying on the ground. I put it in a vase of water. Is there any way to save this flower?

|I think it is possible for the flowers to open for you now that you have it in a vase of water. When florist's order lilies for flower arrangements they are cut and shipped while the flower buds are closed. They begin to open when they are exposed to average room temperatures. The trick is that they are cut when the flowers are fully formed and just about to open. So, there's a chance of yours opening if they were mature before the stem broke. Let's hope for the best!
