The sod has taken root since installed 3-4 months ago. But not getting the desired root or blade thickness and height. Scotts Summer Gaurd was applied 2 months ago & premium soil is being added to build the base as native soil in S. Florida is limestone. We are in the rainy season with high temperatures, daily downpours and some temporary flooding.

Your turf probably won't green up and get thick until the soil dries out and it has a chance to grow. Spring and fall are the best times to apply fertilizer. Those are the seasons of best growth because of temperature and adequate but not overwhelming periods of rain. At this point there's nothing you can apply to help green it up; anything you do apply will simply wash away. So, wait for cooler drier weather to feed your lawn and it will thicken up when the weather conditions are better. Good luck with your lawn!
