Tomato flowers can fail to set fruit if the weather is extreme (for the most part, pollen is rendered sterile in temperatures over 90F) or if the plants are in a protected area where wind does not move the stems and branches. If your plant is growing in a protected area you can help transfer the pollen from the male to the female part of the flower by gently tapping the branch with open flowers. This will help the pollen drop down into the right places within the flower and result in the development of a fruit. Good luck with your tomato plant!
