| I don't know whether you want something that will allow water to go through or something that will absorb water. Standard door mats made from recycled tires have gaps that will allow water to flow through; rubber-backed nylon or plastic door mats will hold water until it evaporates and the rubber backing will keep it from puddling beneath the mat.
