Soil pH affects bloom color. To change the bloom color from pink to blue, add ? cup of sulfur per plant, mix it into the soil surface and then water it in well. This procedure can take months to change the soil pH and thus the bloom color so begin applying early next spring. Next year's flowers should be blue.
