We have a cat in our neighborhood that keeps pooping in our garden. How do we keep it out of our garden? We have already tried mouse traps but the cat sets them off and then buries them.

Cats like to dig in nice, soft dirt and will continue to visit your garden unless you place a barrier between the soil and the cat. You can lay down some thick texture mulch material like big bark chips, or you can place crumpled chicken wire on the soil surface. I've had great luck with placing stakes around the garden bed and stringing nylon fishing line between the stakes, criss-crossing it and keeping it about 6 inches above the soil. If you cross the lines every 12 inches or so, cats won't have room to dig and squat. Once they've figured out it's difficult to get into the soil, they'll stop visiting your garden.
