I have planted squash. They start to form great but when it comes time to pick them they have bumps all over them. Is this normal? If not what can I do? I don't water too much, only about twice a week.

If you're growing summer squash, it's possible you're not harvesting the squash soon enough, and that they're getting over-mature and developing thick skins. Try harvesting when the squash are only 5-6 inches long, (or 4-5 inches in diameter if they're the round kinds). Harvesting when they're still small will keep the vines producing new squash, and will give you tender, tasty squash to eat.
