I have two hydrangeas, side by side. One is blooming, the other is not. They've both been planted for several years. What could be the problem with the non-blooming one?

How odd! Although everything seems equal, the non-bloomer may not be getting enough sunshine, or the roots are competing for moisture and nutrients with the other shrub. Hydrangeas develop flowers on new growth so pruning the non-bloomer back in early spring might encourage new flowering growth. Wish I had more suggestions!
