|Just purchased and planted
the Palm last week. Very hot here in Dallas area, Texas. Some of the palms are turning brown - there is at least 6 hours of Sun. Planted per instructions and well watered.
|I think the combination of summer heat and transplant shock is showing on the fronds of your palm. There's not much you can do to lessen the stress other than to water twice a week to help the roots become established. The browning fronds can be cut away and healthy new fronds will eventually emerge. Just be patient - and hope the weather cools down! If you plan to install more landscape trees and shrubs, I'd recommend waiting until the fall months when the weather is cooler. Your plants will suffer less stress and will establish faster when the temperatures are not so hot. Good luck with your palms.|
