We have had an infestation of wild morning glory vine for several years. It is very tenacious and is particularly hard on our shrubs and flowers. Roundup doesn't seem to do the job. It always comes back. What do you suggest?

I wish there were an easy solution, but sudies show that persistently pulling bindweed is the best control strategy. Bindweed produces enough energy to start strengthening the roots when it reaches the six-leaf stage, so never allow plants to produce more than six leaves. Pull them as soon as you recognize them. Eventually you'll starve out the roots of the pesky plants. Your local cooperative extension office may have other control options for you to try. Contact them at Ste 222
