Heat, light and humidity are enemies of seeds so store your seeds in a jar with a tight fitting lid, in a cool, dark place. I keep leftover seeds in their original packets (so I have the cultivar names and days to maturity) and just put the packets in a mason jar which I set on the floor of my linen closet. I also make a note on my next year's calendar where my seeds are stored so I don't purchase more seeds next spring.
