Ixora is often grown in containers. It is important, as with any plant to get a container of sufficient size. In a container that is too small a plant tends to suffer too much stress from a lack of water. You can't seem to water them enough and when you delay, drought stress sets in rapidly. I would suggest a half whiskey barrel or the equivalent.

Ixora is a cold tender plant. Container plants often are more susceptible to cold than the same species planted in the ground. Make sure and keep this in mind should cold weather make it that far south!
