I have a circular flower bed in full sun that has a clematis up the lamp post and black eyed susans all around. Want to thin it down, looks scraggly. Any suggestions for perinnials with long bloom times?

Some drought tolerant, sun loving plants to consider include Thyme, Verbascum, Verbena, cosmos, blanket flower, gazania, strawflower, rock rose, creeping zinnia, marigold, Mexican sunflower, nasturtium, salvia and zinnia.
