getting larva hatching inside my anaheim peppers. is there a natural repellant like garlic spray? have lots of spiders and caterpillars this year. thanks |
The small worms are the larvae of sawflies and they are really difficult to control. The adult lays an egg just under the skin of the developing pepper. The egg hatches into a larvae and feeds on the inside of the pepper, then makes an exit hole and leaves. Some years are worse than others. The best thing you can do is carefully inspect the peppers before eating them. Wish there were a solution! |
