What is the proper way to remove spent roses?
I heard it is different then single stem roses. I know the word carefree should mean just that but I can't stand looking at the spent flowers without doing something to them but I do want them to continue to bloom.. thank you in advance.

The best way to deadhead roses is to cut the stem down to a 5 leaflet leaf. That's where new flowering stems will emerge. The more you deadhead, the more flowers your rose bush will produce. Don't be afraid to prune off the spent flowers. Best wishes with your rose bush!
