I live in a mostly coastal climate of western Oregon. What grape varieties, preferably seedless reds and whites, would do the best here? |
The choice of grapes is somewhat limited in the Pacific Northwest, because the heat units are not always as high as most grape varieties require. Here are a few that will do well in your garden: Einset (bright red, seedless), Canadice (pink, seedless), and Vanessa (red, seedless), or Interlaken (white, seedless). There's also a muscat flavored grape called 'Sweet Suduction'. Each of these are available from Raintree Nursery, 391 Butts Rd., Morton, WA 98356. Phone for a copy of their catalog. (360) 496-6400. |
