| Our lawn is very sandy (Sandhills of Nebraska)and one section is turning very yellow as summer progresses, We've fertilized w/preemergent early spring and in early summer w/insecticide fertilizer. I water almost everyday. The grass is native sod that we cut in a valley with bluegrass and it's been established for 25+ years. Any advise to help w/yellowing? It's not in spots, it's all over. |
| If you've fertilized regularly, my only suggestion is there may be a fungal disease at work. I can't diagnose it without a hands on inspection so your best bet would be to dig a sample (6" x 6" with roots) and take it to your local cooperative extension office for diagnosis. If they can't tell through microscopic examination they can send it to the plant pathology lab.
