drooping orchid stem - Knowledgebase Question

My phals have beautiful flowers on them, but the shorter of the two plants is beginning to droop. Not the flowers, but the stem on which the flowers are growing. I don't know how to fix it? Thanks for your wonderful advice in the past! Patti (LI, NY)

Sometimes the flowers are so heavy that the wiry stem just cannot remain upright. I'd place a stake in the pot and gently tie the stem to the stake. I use bamboo skewers for my orchids and little twist ties. Hope this works for you, too!
