I'm not familiar with a disease called ick on a crabapple tree. The most common problem with crabapples in your part of the state is cedar apple rust, followed by scab disease. Why take a leaf or branch sample to your local cooperative extension office for positive diagnosis and current control measures? Best wishes with your crabapple tree!
