| I have the referenced plant in the title. I have heard that it will grow and eventually take over the garden. I will have the shasta's all over. Is this true and is there a way to prevent it? Also, the petals seem burned and are some of them are not white. How do I help this plant regain its color? |
| Shasta daisies tend to enlarge in width after they've been planted for a few years, and the centers of the plants can die out so that you end up with a ring of healthy foliage and a dead center. If you dig and divide your shasta daisies every 3-4 years you can keep them healthy looking and you can keep them under control. Just prune off the faded flowers and your plant will develop more flowering stems. Dig and transplant them every 3-4 years and they should not grow out of control. Most of all, enjoy your plants! |
