My petunias which are in a pot were blooming abundantly. The soil got dry. watered the plant but the blooming has slowed down. what could be the problem and cure |
You didn't mention whether or not you regularly pinch off the spent flowers. If not, your plant is probably spending all of its energy developing seeds. To keep petunias blooming all season, and thick and bushy instead of leggy, it's important to pinch off the spent flowers as well as some of the stem. This will encourage the development of lots of new growth and lots of new flowers. Try pinching your petunia back and it should respond with healthy new flowering growth. Hope it's soon! |
