camelia bush bearing fruit?? - Knowledgebase Question

i have two camelia bushes @ 16 years old. round fruit appears to be growing all over the bushes. they are healhty bushes and grow very well, one growing as high as 8 foot. i have never pruned them because i don't know how and i like the look of thier natural shapes. what are these fruit things? seeds?

It's possible your camellias are developing seed pods. It does happen, especially with mature shrubs. You can just leave the seed pods alone and they will drop off the plants. Or you can pull them off if they bother you. As long as your camellias are healthy and happy, they don't need to be pruned and you won't need to worry about the seed pods - they are normal and natural for your shrub.
