Why do the leaves of my Spathiphyllum go limp and lay down. It has water and although not in direct sunlight does get some sun. Should I put it outdoors for a while? Does it need to dry out before it gets watered again?

Peace lilies (Spathiphyllum floribundum) will grow and flourish in almost any well drained soil. However, too much water can cause the vascular system to collapse, as will forced growth from too much fertilizer. Bright light is fine, but if yours has been growing indoors, don't place it outside in direct sunlight - that might burn the foliage. I'd allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings. If you keep the soil too moist the oxygen will be driven out of the soil and the roots can actually suffocate. Hope this information will help you determine just what the problem might be!
