Need a tree to hide a telephone pole in shady area? - Knowledgebase Question

I have a 20' x 15' space in my back yard that could use a coniferous tree to help hide a telephone pole in the corner. This area has a lot of shade due to a large canopy from an 30 yr. old overhead elm tree. Any suggestions? I was told a con-color fir may work?

A fir tree will work, as will arborvitaes. You'll find both upright and pyramidal arborvitaes in the garden center. These are fast growing and perfect for hiding a telephone pole. Best wishes with your landscape!
