Privets - Knowledgebase Question

I'm in the process of repairing my privets I've had to dig up and transplant some of the bushes. As a result, some of the leaves have turned brown and appear to be dying. Is there a remedy for my problem or would you say this is hopeless?

Sounds as though your shrubs are going through some transplant shock. The best course of action is to leave them alone until they become established in their new locations. Then prune back to remove the dead leaves and stems. Remember to apply about one inch of water per week to the plants while they become established. They are hardy and should recover. You'll probably see new growth by next spring.
