|I planted shrub roses yesterday and I'm leaving town for 4 days, what can I do to keep them alive until I get back?

|Water deeply before you leave and plan to water immediately after you get back. As a rule, roses need to be watered thoroughly every 3-4 days in the summer months. I think your roses will be just fine in your absence. A few inches of compost over the soil beneath your roses will help slow water evaporation and conserve moisture.
