|You can limb up your trees now and again next spring. Don't remove more than one third of the branches in any one pruning session or you'll stress them out (trees need their leaves for food production). Next spring prune out a few more of the branches and watch the trunk for new growth. Rub out any new sprouts that appear along the trunks. As the bark growths thicker, no new shoots should appear. Best wishes with your trees.
