Hello again, I just want to thank you for your great advice this summer. I have another question. Should I trim off the old blossoms from my purple jackman clematis? It was so beautiful a week ago. Will it bloom more this season ?

Glad our advice has been helpful! Jackmanni clematis blooms on new growth so there's still a chance yours will bloom again before fall arrives. You won't need to deadhead the plant. As the flowers fade the petals will fall and you'll barely know there was once a flower on the vine. In the spring you'll want to prune your clematis back quite hard to encourage lots of new growth, which will provide you with lots of flowers later in the season. Enjoy!
