While the temperatures are fine for the plants you list, our air is far too dry to promote healthy growth of most tropical plants. Exceptions are date palms and guavas. Coconut palms won't produce in the desert heat. Banana plants will grow in the shade in Mesa but you'll need to keep the soil moist and hose the plants off daily during the summer months. In the shade they won't produce bananas so it kind of defeats the purpose. It's too dry for avocado trees to thrive and macadamia nuts won't do well either. On the plus side, we can grow citrus of all kinds, pomegranates, olives, peaches and mangoes.
