This is the 2nd time I have asked this question.
I have pumpkins over running our garden. Can I cut back the leaves to let the sun in to grow the other items?

I remember answering your question so it must have gotten lost in cyberspace or your email is bouncing the reply. Hope this one gets through. If you pinch out the growing tips of the vines, they won't grow any more. If you simply remove some of the leaves you risk exposing the pumpkins to too much sunshine which can sunburn them. The pumpkins need the food that the leaves manufacture for the plant so if you remove too many, you risk keeping the pumpkins small or delaying their maturity. It's your garden, though. You can certainly prune off the leaves, but there may be adverse reactions by the plants.
