|Delphiniums are perennials so you've made a good investment. They bloom in early summer and often again in late summer or early fall, especially if you cut down the spent flower stalk. I suspect your plant is spending its time becoming established in your garden so you may not see another flower spike until next spring. As soon as the flowers fade cut the flowering stalk down and you should see new flower spikes develop for bloom later in the summer. Enjoy your new delphinium!
