Hello, again. Where can I find a guide or planting list for a cottage garden? I do have some ideas of what to plant, but I want mostly perennials, with a few annuals. I have three beds I'm working on right now, and I'd like to make sure there are enough year round plants growing to fill up the beds. Such as what to put next to wh the Alstromeria while it is 'sleeping', to fill in the spot. thx

There are literally hundreds of potential plants for a cottage garden. Most are old-fashioned plants and the ones you choose for your own garden will depend upon the sun/shade exposure and your own personal preferences for color, size, and leaf texture. Here is a partial list of the most commonly used plant in cottage gardens:

Hollyhock, English lavender, catmint, feverfew, veronica, roses, pinks, delphinium, foxglove, lavatera, cornflower, poppy, salvia, sweetpea, morning glory, moonfloewr, iris, lily, zinnia, lily , black-eyed Susan, sunflower, coneflower, nicotiana, heliotrope, cosmos, cleome, bee balm, butterfly weed, aster, goldenrod, nasturtium, daisies, bachelor's button, marigold, forget me not, flx, pansy, stock, snapdragon, canterbury bells, hydrangea, phlox.

Best wishes with your new garden.
