|Powdery mildew is on the leaves of my zucchini. I still have some flowers on them. Should I pull the mildew leaves off and leave the others or pull the whole plant? Also can I still plant sweet peas?

|I'd remove the affected leaves to keep the disease from spreading. You can also try spraying with a fungicide to protect the unaffected leaves and fruit. If you catch it in time, you may be able to coax your plant into producing more fruit this summer. You can plant sweet peas now and they should flower nicely until late fall. To speed germination, soak the seeds overnight and then plant them. Enjoy your garden!
