I have my strawberries on a drip water system. I have heard that strawberries will grow larger depending on the amount of water they are given. Is this true? I am growing 2 varieties of berries and they vary considerably in size.

Strawberry plants need about one inch of water per week, and more water won't necessarily produce larger berries.
Berry size is controlled by variety - for instance, alpine strawberries are smallest, 'Benton' is a variety that produces large fruits, and 'Tri-Star' is a medium sized berry. A drip system is a terrific way to keep your strawberries watered, and one-inch per week is sufficient to keep your plants healthy and happy.
