| If the peppers begin to grow and then fall from the plant, they were not properly pollinated. There's not much you can do to avoid this other than to encourage lots of bees to transfer pollen. I wonder if you are watering too much? Stress can also make undeveloped fruit abort. Water deeply but infrequently so the soil has a chance to dry out slightly between waterings. This will ensure the roots get adequate oxygen as well as moisture. I'd water every 3-4 days rather than daily. You can harvest your peppers when they are the right size and color for the variety you have planted. Usually that means 4 or more inches long and 3 or more inches wide. Regardless of the size, they will taste like green peppers. Enjoy! |
